In the academic lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Finnish language classes have started as part of the joint program implemented in cooperation with the Karelia University of Applied Sciences of Finland and the International Nordic University in Tashkent. Professor Aija Elg of Aalto University (this university is ranked as among the 200 according to the QS top ranking universities) conducts the lessons. This professor worked as the chief specialist in Finnish language teaching at the Ministry of Education, worked at the University of Tampere, University of Jyväskylä, University of California, University of Minnesota, University of Washington and Indiana University.

In the lessons, students learn the Finnish language and receive interesting information about the history, culture and lifestyle of the Finnish people
