On September 16, 2026, the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the event "Rector's Hour" with the participation of the first year students. The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy S. Safaev. In his speech, the rector of the university sincerely congratulated the students on their admission to the academic lyceum, and they have a thorough acquisition of modern knowledge and skills in the future educational process, regular development of their intellectual potential, independent, critical and creative thinking skills. He identified important tasks such as the formation of thinking skills, as well as active participation in public life. Also, in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 3, 2020 No PP-4910 "On measures to improve the system of selection of talented youth and academic lyceums" 2025-2026 The students, who have mastered all subjects in "excellent" grades in the year, achieved high results in science olympiads, competitions and sports competitions and actively participated in public affairs, was awarded by the rector of the University with the scholarship "Pride". During the event, all 1st year students were presented with books as a "rector's gift" in order to raise the culture of reading among students, increase their interest in reading and develop their spiritual and intellectual potential.
