         Accomplished students from the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), currently enrolled in a collaborative academic program, has traveled to Germany to participate in intensive summer language courses at the esteemed Viadrina University.On July 29, 2025, faculty representatives from Viadrina University delivered a formal presentation outlining the institution's educational framework, available resources, and scope of academic and research disciplines. Students in attendance received comprehensive information regarding opportunities for enrollment, aspects of student life, international exchange programs, and collaborative academic initiatives.This engagement provides a valuable platform for participating students to enhance their linguistic proficiency, cultivate international experience, and explore prospects for future collaborative academic pursuits with institutions of higher education.


        On May 13, 2025, students from the UWED Academic Lyceum visited the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in France, located in Paris.

During this visit, the students learned about the activities of the embassy, the diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and France, and areas of international cooperation. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France, N. Ganiev, provided the students with detailed information about his experience and his work in protecting the interests of our country abroad.

Also, the cultural and educational trip to Paris, the capital of France, organized for the students of the UWED Academic Lyceum, was full of unforgettable impressions. During the trip, the students enjoyed the view of the Champs-Élysées (Place de l'Étoile), the historical heart of Paris, and the Eiffel Tower radiating light from it. A walk along the Seine River was organized.

          On May 12, 2025, a group of talented students from the UWED Academic Lyceum, who are currently in Switzerland, visited one of the country's prestigious scientific institutions - the Geneva Astronomy Observatory.

During the visit, students learned about the operating mechanisms of a modern observation telescope and observed real observation processes in the observatory's telescopic dome.

The visit further increased the participants' interest in science and discovery. They had the opportunity to communicate directly with experts in the field of science and enriched their knowledge.

In the second part of the scientific trip, a picnic was organized for the students by the staff of the Representation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Geneva.

This event, organized in the beautiful scenery of Geneva's nature, created the opportunity to meet with community representatives and served to strengthen the students' feelings of patriotism.

 

           On May 9, 2025, students of the UWED (University of World Economy and Diplomacy) Academic Lyceum visited the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland. The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the working principles of international organizations, labor rights, global social justice, and directions for developing human potential.

During the visit, participants received information on the ILO's activities, the process of developing international labor standards, and global labor issues. This visit increased students' understanding and responsibility towards problems on the international stage and encourages them to actively participate on an international scale in the future. The experience aimed to raise awareness and encourage future international engagement.

On May 8, 2025, students of the UWED (University of World Economy and Diplomacy) Academic Lyceum visited the European headquarters of the United Nations, located in Geneva, Switzerland.During this visit, the lyceum students became closely acquainted with the UN's activities, international diplomatic efforts to solve global problems, initiatives in the field of human rights, peace and security. They  were also able to learn about the activities of various UN agencies and receive answers to their questions directly from experts.The visit aimed to enhance students understanding of international relations, diplomacy, and global cooperation.

On January 10, 2025, students of the group of academic lyceum of UWED within the framework of the international joint program visited the exhibition organized at the International Nordic University. During the visit, the students were given detailed information about the life of the Finnish photographer and politician Carl Gustav Emil Mannerheim, his creative activity and his work during the presidency. Along with several real-life stories about the importance of the rare photos shown in the exhibition and the conditions of their taking, the people in the photos, their origins, and their occupations were also discussed in detail.At the exhibition, students received relevant answers to their questions.

On December 3, 2024, the students of the joint program of the academic lyceum with Karelia University of Applied Sciences visited the campus of this  University, located in Joensuu, Finland.

During the visit, Petri Raivo, the rector of Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Risto Salminen, the dean, and Mervi Heikkinen, the chief specialist, gave a presentation to the students about IT, international business, and industrial management.

At the same time, the students were invited to the tours of the university campuses, got acquainted with the conveniences of the university in the production engineering laboratory, and received answers to their questions.Also, during the visit, the director of academic lyceum O.S.Mannopova and the rector of Karelia University of Applied Sciences, prof. Petri Raivo discussed future plans to be implemented within the framework of cooperation.

 

 

From December 1 to 8, 2024, a group of students from the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, under the guidance of their teachers, will be on a trip to Finland as part of a joint program with Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

On the first day of the visit, the students visited SYK school located in Helsinki and observed the teaching process.

During a friendship meeting with Finnish students, our students became closely acquainted with the Finnish school life, education system and culture.

The meeting left a great impression on our students.

 

 

On October 16, 2024, an open meeting on studying in Finland was held at the Academic Lyceum of the World Economy and Diplomacy University. The event was organized as part of joint programs and was attended by Petri Raivo, President of Karelia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and representatives of the Nordic International University in Tashkent.

During the event, P. Raivo expressed great satisfaction with the successful continuation of the joint educational program between Karelia University of Applied Sciences, the Nordic International University, and the Academic Lyceum.

P.Raivo provided valuable advice and guidance to students interested in studying not only at Karelia University of Applied Sciences but also at other prestigious universities in Finland.

Representatives of the Nordic International University shared their recommendations with students regarding the benefits and opportunities of joint programs with the Academic Lyceum.

 

 

 

   On October 6, 2024, professors and teachers from the joint program of UWED Academic Lyceum and Viadrina University visited the historical sites of ancient Samarkand.

During their  visit, they paid tribute to the Guri Amir mausoleum, Registan Square, and the Shah-i-Zinda architectural complex.

The ancient monuments of Samarkand left a great impression on the guests.

 

 

In the academic lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Finnish language classes have started as part of the joint program implemented in cooperation with the Karelia University of Applied Sciences of Finland and the International Nordic University in Tashkent..

 

 

"In pursuit of the objectives outlined in Resolution No. PQ-330 dated July 23, 2022, concerning the systematic enhancement of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy's operations, and to align with the academic lyceum, an "Action Plan" has been meticulously devised and officially endorsed. As part of this collaborative educational initiative, a structured education pathway has been established in partnership with esteemed institutions, including Russia's National Research Institute of Higher Economics, Germany's European Viadrina University, and Finland's Karelian University of Applied Sciences."
