Department of social and human sciences
The Department of Social and humanitarian sciences of the academic lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy started its activity in the 2000-2001 academic year. The activities of the department are aimed at students' awareness of national identity, in-depth study of the history of our country, preservation of ancestral heritage, and strengthening of patriotism. In this department, teachers with scientific potential and experience are working effectively in the spiritual and educational sphere of the academic lyceum.
From 2000-2022, the department was headed by the following teachers:
1. Ghulom Odinaevich Saidov - history teacher, head of the department from 2000-2005.
2. Mamasoliyev Javlon - history teacher, head of the department from 2005-2008.
3. Makhkamova Dilorom Makhkamovna - history teacher, head of the department from 2008-2011.
4. Usmanov Bekzod Khasanbekovich - history teacher, head of the department from 2011-2014.
5. Begimova Robiya Saparovna - history, law teacher, head of the department from 2014-2016.
6. Yuldasheva Mohichehra Yunusaliyevna - teacher of the law, national independence idea, head of the department from 2016-2018.
7. Soliyev Mahmudjon Makhamadovich - history teacher, head of the department since 2018.
Also, Babadjanov Khasan Bakhtiyorovich (candidate of history), Kadyrova Gulnora Nuriddinova (history), Kasimova Gulchehra Nug'monovna (fundamentals of economics), Kadyrova Dilnoza Abdulhafizovna (law, national independence idea) worked in this department.
At present, Shukurova Umida Nomanovna, Abdullayeva Shahnoza Nurmatovna, Nurmuhammedov Murodjon Rahimjonovich, Boltayev Sarvar Ravshanovich are working in the Department of social and humanitarian sciences.
The teachers of the department have made many achievements in the field of education. In particular, students trained by teachers have achieved high results in republican science Olympiads and examinations. Munavvarov Babur won 1st place in the Science Olympiad in 2011, Mirzaliyev Bunyod won the 1st place in history, Tashpolatov Sherzod won 1st place in history in 2014, "Do you know the law?" (R. Begimova) and "Do you know history?" (D. Mahkamova) academic lyceum team won high places.

On December 3, 2022, at the Academic Lyceum, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Associate Professor of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Doctor of Philosophy (Phd) in Law Khamdamova Shirin Mirzayuldashevna conducted an interactive lesson on the topic: “The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan is a legal guarantee for the development of our country”. At the Lesson, Sh. Khamdamova told the readers in detail about the content of the Constitution, about constitutional reforms. During the lesson there were interesting questions and answers with students on the Constitution, on legal literacy.
