On October 10, 2024, a roundtable discussion titled “Stay Away from Drugs” took place at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, featuring representatives from the Tashkent City Customs Department. The event included discussions by Chief Inspector Dilafruz Mahkamova from the Investigation and Administrative Practice Department and Senior Operational Inspector Valijon Ubaydullaev from the Anti-Smuggling Department.

 

During the event, representatives from law enforcement agencies provided detailed information in their speeches about the serious threat that drug addiction poses to human life today, and about the necessary measures being implemented in Uzbekistan to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic substances. They emphasized that promotional efforts are being made to prevent such negative phenomena among the population. The main focus was on the necessity to protect the rising younger generation from falling victim to such harmful and dangerous substances, with vivid examples drawn from practice. It was highlighted that students of the Academic Lyceum must remain vigilant in this matter.

 

During the roundtable discussion, a video film titled “Drug Addiction – A Downfall of Life,” prepared by internal affairs agencies, was shown.
