On October 23, 2024, a roundtable discussion titled "Elections - A Mirror of Democracy" was held at the Academic Lyceum of the World Economy and Diplomacy University as part of the "Month of Legal Knowledge". The event was attended by second-year students, ahead of the elections for the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Court and local councils scheduled for October 27th.

Professor Etibor Sultanova, PhD in Political Science at WEDU, participated in the event. She emphasized that elections are a comprehensive, multi-stage, crucial political process reflecting the connection between the people and state power.

The event focused on the upcoming elections for the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan on October 27th, which will be held under a mixed electoral system (majority and proportional). Special attention was paid to the unique features of this new electoral system.

Students were introduced to the election programs of the political parties participating in the election through specially prepared slides as well as they got answers to their questions.
