On November 7, 2024, a roundtable discussion titled "Gaining Knowledge about Climate Change - A Crucial Task for Developing Economies" took place at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, featuring Japanese researcher Takayoshi Kato.
During the event, T. Kato provided detailed information to students about issues related to climate change, global warming, air pollution, and the depletion of the ozone layer, emphasizing that these are among the most serious problems facing Central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan. He highlighted the important role of early warning systems in enhancing resilience to climate change and mitigating its consequences in the region. The Japanese scientist particularly focused on the need to strengthen international cooperation and conduct scientific research among countries in this field.
