On January 17, 2025, a cultural and educational event titled "Defending the Motherland is a Sacred Duty" was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy to mark the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Motherland. Students from the Academic Lyceum also actively participated in this event. 

During the celebration, students presented various performances highlighting the significance of patriotism and the defense of the homeland. Notably, Academic Lyceum students Diyora Karimova from group IG2-24 and Lobar Nu’monova from group AFR2-24 recited poems dedicated to the defenders of the motherland. 

Additionally, a display of modern military equipment and weaponry was organized on the university grounds. 

This event served to further instill a sense of patriotism among the youth and foster a deeper respect for the defenders of the motherland.
