On September 27, 2025, a "Rector's Hour" event was held with the first-year students of the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
In his speech, S. Safoyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University, congratulated the first-year students on their admission to the Academic Lyceum and set a number of tasks for them, such as diligently acquiring modern knowledge and skills, further enhancing their intellectual potential, and learning critical and creative thinking.
In accordance with the Resolution No. PQ-4910 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 3, 2020, "On measures to improve the system of selecting gifted youth and the activities of academic lyceums," eight students who achieved excellent grades in all subjects in the 2024-2025 academic year, achieved high results in subject Olympiads, contests, and sports competitions, and actively participated in public affairs, were awarded the "Pride of the Academic Lyceum" scholarship by the Rector.
Furthermore, commemorative gifts were presented to five graduates who completed the academic lyceum in 2025 and became students of UWED on a state grant with the highest score of 189. Additionally, "Certificates of Honor" were awarded to 10 teachers who demonstrated effective performance throughout the academic year, in honor of the "Day of Teachers and Mentors" on October 1.
