On May 5, 2026, a group of students from the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy visited the Senate of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students closely with the activities of the Senate, the law-making process, and the working mechanisms of the parliamentary system.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the students featuring Odiljon Oxundedaevich Mamatkarimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism Issues of the Senate of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Doniyorbek Khaydarjon o‘g‘li Abdullaev, Advisor to the Committee.
At the meeting, the specialists provided detailed information on the main tasks of the Senate, the activities of its committees, directions of international cooperation, efforts to attract foreign investments, and the development of the tourism sector. The students were also given insights into the process of reviewing and adopting laws, the work of senators, and the role of youth in state governance.
The students actively asked questions on topics of interest to them and received comprehensive answers regarding parliamentary activities. Such meetings play an important role in enhancing young people’s political and legal knowledge, educating them in a spirit of patriotism, and shaping an active civic position for the future.
This visit helped the students gain a broader understanding of the state governance system, particularly the activities of the parliament.
