Department of foreign languages
The Department of Foreign Languages of the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy began its activity in the 2000-2001 academic year. The main goal of the department is directed in-depth study of foreign languages, to increase students' interest in rare examples of world literature by studying foreign languages, to form students' spiritual-moral world, literary-aesthetic taste, and independent thinking.
In the Department of Foreign Languages, English, German, and French as a second foreign language are taught in depth. Starting from the 2022-2023 academic year, the teaching of Arabic as a second foreign language has been started in the field of social and humanitarian sciences.
From 2000-2022, the department was headed by the following teachers:
1. Nikiforova Nadezhda Nikolayevna - English teacher, head of the department from 2000-2014.
2. Shoyupova Kamola Abdukarimovna - English teacher, head of the department in 2014-2016.
3. Gorlova Yelena Viktorovna - English teacher, head of the department from 2014-2018.
4. Roziyeva Kunduz - English teacher, head of the department from 2014-2018.
5. Mannonova Shahnoza Inomjonovna - English teacher, head of the department since 2020.
Also, English language teachers Bakiyev Habibullo, Umarov Hamidjon, Tahirov Ziyadullah, Ermonov Davron, Tajiyev Asliddin, Kurbanova Nilufar, Khodjayeva Dildora, Rasulova Kamila, Sobirova Aydin, German language teachers Sharipova Mahira, Hafizov G`ayrat, Khushmuratov Daniyor worked in this department. Currently, English teachers at the Department of Foreign Languages are Normominova Nodira Suyarkulovna, Mamadalimov Anvarjon Rahimjanovich Gorlova Elena Viktorovna, Kupalova Barno Komilovna, Nuriddinov Khusniddin Zafarovich, Olimova Hilola Nodirovna, Sanayev Mirzokhid Erkinovich, Takhiriya Benazirbegim Rasuljonovna, Yuldosheva Dilbarkhan Saidakhmedovna, German language teachers Zakirova Nargiza Djurayevna, Kosimova Nozima Dzhakhangirovna, French language teacher Latipova Kamolakhan, Arabic language teacher Musayev Islamjan are teaching students.
Teachers of the department have national (CEFR) and foreign (IELTS and other) foreign language certificates.
The teachers of the department have made many achievements in the field of education. In particular, students trained by teachers have achieved high results in republic science Olympiads and examinations. Lyceum students receive national and foreign (IELTS, etc.) foreign language certificates due to the knowledge and effective lessons provided by the teachers of the department.
Effective cooperation has been established with the German Goethe Institute on the "Schools: Future Partnership" project. As a result, high school students are getting a good knowledge of the German language, participating in various competitions, and achieving positive results.
