Department of Foreign Languages
The Department of Foreign Languages at the Academic Lyceum of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy began its activities in the 2000–2001 academic year. The main goal of the department is to provide in-depth study of foreign languages, foster interest in rare examples of world literature, develop students’ moral and aesthetic values, and cultivate independent thinking.
The department offers advanced courses in English and German, with French taught as a second foreign language. Since the 2022–2023 academic year, Arabic has been introduced as a second foreign language for the social–humanitarian track.

Arabic: provide education to students
Department teachers hold national (CEFR) and international (IELTS and other) certifications in foreign languages.
The department has achieved significant success in education and training. Students achieve high results in national olympiads and competitions. Cooperation with the Goethe Institute through the “Schools: Partnership for the Future” project allows students to gain strong knowledge of German and achieve positive results in various contests.
